Get Involved

At Children for Christ Outreach Ministries Uganda (CCOMU), we believe in creating lasting change through community engagement and partnership. Your involvement can make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families in Uganda. There are many ways you can contribute to our mission—whether through financial support, volunteering, or sharing your expertise.

What You Can Offer

How to Get Involved

Fundraise

Organizing a fundraising event is a powerful way to support CCOMU’s initiatives. From charity runs and bake sales to online crowdfunding campaigns, your creativity and effort can help raise essential funds. These contributions go directly towards educational programs, healthcare services, and sustainable agriculture projects.

Make A Donation

Your donations are crucial in supporting the day-to-day operations of our programs. Every contribution, whether one-time or recurring, helps provide essential services like education, medical care, and meals to children and families in need. Your generosity ensures that we can continue to offer these life-changing services.

Partner with Us

We invite businesses, nonprofits, and community groups to partner with us. By collaborating, we can develop comprehensive solutions to the challenges faced by vulnerable populations in Uganda. Whether through joint projects, resource sharing, or strategic alliances, your partnership can amplify our impact and extend our reach.

Sponsor a Student

Sponsoring a student is a life-changing act of kindness. For $38 per month, you can support a primary school child, covering school fees, medicine, lunch, and school uniforms. For $45 per month, you can support a secondary school student with similar needs. Sponsors receive regular updates and letters, building a meaningful connection with their sponsored child. This support provides children with the education and care they need to build a brighter future.

Volunteer Your Expertise

Your skills and knowledge can be a tremendous asset to our mission at CCOMU. We are looking for passionate individuals who can offer their expertise in various fields:

  • Education: Teach, mentor, and inspire children and youth. Help them develop literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills that will pave the way for a brighter future.
  • Healthcare: Provide medical care, health education, and mental health support. Help us promote a healthier community by offering your expertise in medical services or health awareness programs.
  • Agriculture: Share your knowledge in modern farming techniques, sustainable agriculture, and animal husbandry. Help local farmers improve their yields and secure a steady food supply for their families.
  • Business & Finance: Assist with business development, financial planning, and entrepreneurship training. Empower community members with the skills to start and sustain their own businesses.

Volunteering with CCOMU is not only an opportunity to share your skills but also a chance to immerse yourself in a vibrant community and make a lasting impact. Whether you can dedicate a few hours, days, or weeks, your contribution will be invaluable in helping us provide comprehensive support to the children and families we serve.

Support Our Agriculture Programs

"Grow sustainable communities."

“Empower rural farmers.”

Our agriculture programs are a cornerstone of our efforts to promote food security and economic empowerment in the community. You can support these programs in several ways:

  • Provide Tools and Resources: Donate tools, seeds, or animals that can enrich the soil with manure. These contributions help us improve agricultural productivity and sustainability.
  • Transport Means: Assist us in reaching remote schools and communities by providing transportation means. This support allows us to extend our programs to more children and families in need.
  • Land for Demonstration Farm: Help us purchase land to establish a demonstration farm. This farm will serve as an educational hub where children and youth can gather to learn practical agricultural skills and techniques.
  • Agriculture Teaching Aids: Provide teaching aids to enhance our agricultural training sessions. These resources help us educate the community on best farming practices and sustainable agriculture.
